Marco Rock and Aquaforest Frag Rock Reef Trees
A marine hardscape by Jag Aquatics that turns reef rock into a pair of living reef trees. Two tall towers of Marco Rocks rise from broad, solid bases, twisting upwards like the trunks of old bonsai trees and leaning gently away from each other to leave an open channel of sand in the middle of the tank.

About the build
Clusters of Aquaforest Frag Rocks are fixed along every branch, fanning out like leaves at the ends of the limbs. The contrast works beautifully: the white, porous Marco Rock gives the structure its strength and natural texture, while the ring shaped frag rocks add a softer, organic outline and give every coral frag its own ready made spot to sit in.
The open design means water can move freely through and around both towers, there are plenty of caves and overhangs at the base for fish and invertebrates, and once the corals settle in and grow, each tree will slowly fill out into a lush canopy of colour. It is a striking centrepiece for any reef tank and a great example of how creative a marine aquascape can be.
