Aquaforest Frag Rock Nano Reef Scape
A nano marine hardscape by Jag Aquatics, built entirely from Aquaforest Frag Rocks. These small ring shaped rocks are designed to hold coral frags, and here they have been joined together piece by piece into open, branching reef sculptures that look almost like coral structures in their own right.

About the build
Each ring is angled and stacked to create twisting arms that reach up and out in different directions, leaving plenty of gaps and overhangs for water to flow through and for fish to swim around. The natural pink tones of the rock already give the look of coralline algae, so the scape feels like a living reef even before any corals go in. Built as a pair, the two sculptures can stand side by side with open sand between them, giving a nano tank real depth without crowding the space.
Once the tank is running, every ring becomes a ready made home for a coral frag, so the reef can be filled in and grow over time. It is a fun and very practical way to aquascape a small reef.
