Dragon Rock Canyon Scape
A dramatic canyon style aquascape by Jag Aquatics, built from rugged dragon rock full of deep holes and weathered ridges. The stone is stacked into two steep, rocky walls that rise on either side of the tank, leaving a winding valley of pale sand running through the middle and back into the distance.
About the build
Smaller stones and fine gravel are scattered along the canyon floor like rubble that has fallen from the cliffs, adding detail and pulling the eye deep into the layout, while the warm, earthy tones of the stone give the whole scene a desert landscape feel. These photos show the scape at the hardscape stage, before planting and filling, so you can see exactly how the canyon was built.
