Iron root tablets are especially formulated for freshwater aquariums with more demanding plants. 
Iron is an essential micronutrient needed by all plants. In iron root tablets, iron is in chelate form. Iron from Fe‑DTPA 7% becomes available to aquarium plants through a very specific chemical mechanism: the DTPA keeps iron in a soluble, non‑precipitated, plant‑usable form even in moderately hard, alkaline water.
 
Iron concentration: Each tablet contains approximately 7.7 mg iron.
 
Dosage: 
General guideline: Use roughly 1 tablet per  8 × 8 cm area. 
Placement: Insert tablets deep into the substrate directly under or close to the plant’s root mass.
Depth: 5–7 cm
Replacement interval: Refresh tablets every 8–12 weeks for most tanks.
